Proposal Would Change Name Of Tulsa's Delaware Avenue

A Tulsa city councilor is proposing changing the name of Tulsa street.

Councilor Phil Lakin wants to change the name of Delaware Avenue south of the Creek Turnpike to Riverside Parkway.

Delaware Avenue meets up with Riverside Parkway, but have different names depending on which side of the Creek Turnpike you're on.

Lakin plans to introduce the proposal to the council soon with the change taking place in the fall if approved.
