Tulsa Community Gathers To Celebrate The Chinese New Year

Tuesday marks the beginning of the Chinese New Year and people around Tulsa are already ringing in the year of the pig.

Folks gathered at the University of Tulsa's Lorton Performance Center Monday evening for a celebration including traditional Chinese performances and dancing.

Organizers say the event is meant to ring in the new year with good luck while celebrating the diverse heritage of Tulsans.
