Devon Energy Says They Will Be Cutting 200 Jobs

One of the state's largest companies is cutting jobs.

In an exchange with The Oklahoman on Tuesday, a company spokesman said Devon Energy will be cutting 200 jobs. Devon told the paper the announcement comes as it "plans to either sell or spin off its Canadian and North Texas assets."

Some of the jobs will be at their Oklahoma City headquarters and more cuts are expected.
