A stolen Liberty Volunteer Fire Department 2007 Ford F-350 fire truck has been located. The Wagoner County Sheriff's Office said the truck was found in the Porter/Redbird area.
Officials say the fire truck was stolen from an Okmulgee County Fire Station.
The truck was seen on surveillance video north of Haskell Thursday morning. Officials say the stolen fire truck was used to break into a residence.
Wagoner County Deputy Shawn Daniels was out looking for the truck when he saw tracks near the intersection of 317th and 251st in the Haskell area, the Sheriff's Office said in a Facebook post.
He followed the tracks to where the truck was parked almost a mile away - still running. It will be processed for evidence by Okmulgee County.
Fortunately, the truck had only minor damage and a few tools missing, according to WCSO.
The post said Wagoner County Emergency Director Heath Underwood helped locate the stolen fire truck.
It's the third fire truck stolen from a Green Country department in just the last three weeks.
If you have any information regarding the stolen fire truck, you're asked to call the Wagoner County Sheriff’s Office at 918-485-3124 or the Okmulgee County Sheriff’s Office at 918-756-4311.
