Oklahoma Man Pleads Guilty To Poaching Hundreds Of Box Turtles
A man has pleaded guilty to poaching nearly 200 box turtles from Oklahoma.
State game wardens say they had been investigating for nearly a year after receiving a tip. Investigators say the suspect would pick up the turtles outside Tulsa and then sell and ship them out of state as pets.
It's believed he sold about 1,200 turtles over a two-year period for a profit of $32,000. He'll pay $11,000 in fines.
