Truck Hits Tulsa Man In Wheelchair

Officials say a truck hit a man in a wheelchair in the westbound lanes of I-244 near Garnett.

Tulsa police say a man in a wheelchair is in the hospital after a pickup truck hit him while he was on I-244 near Garnett.

Police say the driver of that pickup was not arrested but police and OHP did talk with him for a couple hours. Firefighters briefly shut down the westbound lanes of I-244 and diverted traffic onto Garnett but the interstate is now back open.

The victim was taken to the hospital and will be ok.
