There’s a new scam you need to know about.
Police say scammers are going door-to-door or visiting Medicare Expos and offering free DNA testing. They swab your cheek, ask your name, birthday, and Medicare number.
They then bill Medicare thousands of dollars for the unnecessary test under your name.
Police say you should never do a DNA test without talking to your doctor. If you get one of these kits, refuse delivery or return it.
