A 64-year-old woman died on Sunday after the Oklahoma Highway Patrol said she drove into a flooded creek crossing and was swept off the road.
OHP says Vickie Darnell was swept off the road into Sugar Loaf Creek at about 4:30 am southeast of Poteau. They say her body was discovered just after seven and was recovered about a half hour later by airboat.
