Search Continues For Remains Of Welch Girls Kidnapped In 1999

Investigators will once again search near the ghost town of Picher in Ottawa County for the remains of Ashley Freeman and Lauria Bible.

The girls were just 16 when they were kidnapped in Welch in 1999 and never seen again. This search will include agents from the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation and members of the Tulsa Police Dive team.

Investigators said three people were involved in the murders of the girls, but two of them are dead. Ronnie Busick is now charged in the case and is awaiting trial.
