1 Dead After Sapulpa Crash Involving A Pedestrian
SAPULPA, Oklahoma - Sapulpa Police say a man is dead after he was hit and killed by a car on Tuesday morning.
Sapulpa Police say, Timothy Bridgman, 50, was trying to cross the road in the 1200 block of New Sapulpa Road. Police believe Bridgman was crossing the street to get to a parking lot when he was hit and killed around 6 a.m. Tuesday.
The driver stopped and called the police and he told officers he didn't see Bridgman until it was too late to stop. Captain Glenn Coffey with the Sapulpa Police Department says this part of New Sapulpa Road is very dark, so it probably wasn't easy to see the driver in the first place.
"The lights aren't right there in front of you, they're off to the side at an angle as you're turning and it makes harder to see people in the roadway or any object in the roadway," said Capt. Coffey
Officers say the accident does not appear to be the driver's fault but they will continue to TO investigate.
