You may notice rainbows in the Tulsa's sky at night.
Those lights are connected to the opening of Tulsa's Gathering Place. Park officials say the beams are part of an art installation called "Global Rainbow."
It is created by artist Yvette Mattern to draw people to Tulsa's Gathering Place.
It's a temporary art installation that has been seen in New York City, London, Berlin and in France. But what sets Tulsa's installation apart, the lights are aimed in several directions.
"The rainbows represent light and hope. And we hope that's what the Gathering Place will represent for the community and the City of Tulsa," said Park director Tony Moore.
The "Global Rainbow" will shine in the Tulsa sky until Sunday, September 23rd.
