Model For 'A Gathering Place For Tulsa' On Display Starting Sunday

The 200-square-foot scaled model will be on the second floor of the Tulsa Hardesty Arts Center, 101 East Archer Street.

A model of A Gathering Place for Tulsa, the 60-acre park planned along Riverside Drive, will be on display starting August 18, 2013. The 200-square-foot scaled model will be on the second floor of the Tulsa Hardesty Arts Center, 101 East Archer Street.

You can see the model from August 18 to September 27. Hours are Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from 1 to 6 p.m. On Thursday from 1 to 9 p.m. and on Sunday, 1 to5 p.m. The Arts Center is open until 9 p.m. on Friday, September 6 for the First Friday Art Crawl.

People got their first look at what's expected to be a world-class park in June during public meetings.

Plans are to build the park in three phases, with features including a lake surrounded by trails, playgrounds, a water park and sky garden.
