A Bristow Police officer is in the Creek County Jail after being arrested on three counts of lewd molestation and three counts of child sexual abuse.

The Bristow Police Department said Bradley Goodin was just hired this August. The Creek County Sheriff's Office arrested him at the department, while he was at work. Goodin has been placed on paid administrative leave.

Creek County Sheriff's Office Chief Deputy Fred Clark said investigators interviewed two young girls Goodin knows.

"Anytime we have young children as victims, it takes its toll on investigators and they wanna make sure they get it right, and get the information right and find out the truth," Clark said.

Deputies started investigating after a witness came forward. The witness told investigators one of the girls was complaining of bug bites on her legs.

The witness said Goodin took the girl to the bathroom and "had been gone for too long," so the witness went inside to check on them, according to Goodin’s arrest affidavit.

"The suspect had asked if they'd like some medicine put on, because they were itching and stuff like that,” Clark said.

Goodin's arrest affidavit said the witness saw him inappropriately touching the young girl in the bathroom. The affidavit also said Goodin threatened to hurt the witness if they told anyone. But she spoke up, and so did the young girl.

The girl told investigators Goodin did put itch medicine on her legs, then said she was "beautiful" and "hugged her", before she said he touched her inappropriately.

Investigators also talked with another young girl who Goodin knows, and she said he has touched her inappropriately more than five times.

"It does take a lot of courage for a child to speak up or speak out that something like this has occurred or happened to them. It's not easy to do,” Clark said. “There's trained people that can talk to the kids and interview them and I think makes them feel a little bit more comfortable about the situation."

Investigators said Goodin told them he did hug the girl but did not touch her any other way. He said his watchband got caught on her shirt, and that is what the witness must have seen, according to his arrest affidavit.
