The CDC confirmed one person has died and eight others are hospitalized after a multi-state salmonella outbreak.

It's linked to ground beef, and the CDC said this outbreak is "more severe than expected for Salmonella."

6 states are involved including Oklahoma, Kansas and Texas.

The supplier responsible has not yet been identified.
