Tulsa Teen Found Shot In Chest Expected To Recover

According to police, an 18-year-old was shot in Tulsa on Friday afternoon.

Officers were called to a residence near East 56th Street North and North Madison Ave where they said they found a teenager in the street shot in the chest.

"There were several people on the block who didn't hear any arguments, didn't hear any fights. They just heard the gunshots," said TPD Cpl. Wyett Poth.

According to police the wound did not appear to be life-threatening and the victim is expected to recover. Officers are still searching for a white car that may be related to the incident.
