Former state school superintendent Janet Barresi is joining to GOP race for Congress.

She's running for the 5th district congressional seat currently held by Democratic Representative Kendra Horn. The district includes most of Oklahoma County and Pottawatomie and Seminole Counties.

At least seven other candidates have announced their intention to run.
