Suspect Dead After Shots Fired During OHP Pursuit In Tulsa

An Oklahoma Highway Patrol chase left one suspect dead and an investigation is underway.

U.S. Marshals identified the suspect as William Martin.

The U.S. Marshals Northern Violent Crimes Task Force said they were trying to arrest Martin.

He's an ex-convict wanted for a DUI charge and possession of a firearm as a convicted felon.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol Trooper who is assigned to the task force was trying to make the arrest when Marin fled.

Marshals said at the end of the chase the suspect tried to run over the Trooper.

That's when the suspect was shot and killed.

Witnesses said they heard several gunshots.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said they are leading the shooting investigation.
