Tulsa Fire Department says a man told them he set his own house on fire Friday evening. Jimmy Dale Eubanks was booked on a complaint of first-degree arson.
Tulsa firefighters battled the house fire near 16th & Cincinnati Friday evening.
The home is new and had extensive damage with the fire burning through the roof at the rear of the house.
A Tulsa Fire investigator said Eubanks was at the home when he arrived on scene.
Eubanks told the fire marshal that he wasn't worried about the house because "he had plenty of money, was connected to royalty in Ireland and was from a family of master builders," an arrest report states.
The arrest report says Eubanks was very intense, talkative and not coherent. The fire marshal interviewed a neighbor who said Eubanks told him he decided to burn his house along with his wife's things.
The couple is in the midst of a divorce, the report states.
No one was hurt.
