Wagoner County Calls For Voluntary Evacuations Near Arkansas, Verdigris Rivers

Wagoner County Emergency Management has called for voluntary evacuations for low-lying areas near the Arkansas and Verdigris Rivers in Wagoner County.

"Dangerous flooding is expected," a civil emergency message states. "Residents in this area should act now and evacuate away from low-lying areas and stay away from river banks.

There is a shelter located at Bacone College in Muskogee, 2299 Old Bacone Road.

Anyone requiring assistance with evacuation should call 911.
