Tulsa Police are looking for tips about a truck they believe is connected to a rape care reported April 19th. The truck has a few unusual features they believe will help someone spot it.
It's a silver, Dodge Ram, four-door, with running boards and a light bar on top. "We know this is a pretty specific truck especially with the specific identifiers of a large silver truck, looks to be a Dodge Ram type truck with a small light bar," said Sgt Jillian Phippen of the Tulsa Police.
The victim told police she was looking for a ride outside a QuikTrip at Admiral and Memorial. She got one from a Hispanic man, 40-50 years old, driving the silver truck. He drove her to a field on 145th East Avenue - just south of Admiral.
"She ran from him, She knew once they got to that wooded area, that's not where she wanted to be, that's not what she had agreed to and so she did try to run from him and he grabbed her and pulled her back to the truck," said Sgt Phippen.
The victim told police she was raped - then let out of the truck, where she flagged down a Tulsa fire truck on 145th East Avenue.
Detectives are hoping someone will recognize the truck and report the location, so they can question the driver.
