It’s not just another race. It’s not just another run. It’s a race for awareness. It’s a race against the clock to end breast cancer forever.

The Komen Tulsa Race for the Cure is an important annual event for Susan G. Komen Tulsa. It raises significant funds for the breast cancer movement, thanks to supporters and survivors around the world who step up and take action by fundraising for the cause.

In addition to raising funds for the breast cancer movement, the event also increases awareness, celebrates breast cancer survivors and honors those who have passed away from the disease.

The energy is electric at the Komen Tulsa Race for the Cure. The race hosts passionate supporters who are not content to simply say they support the breast cancer cause or wear a pink ribbon. They turn their support into action. They see that raising funds is a critical need in fighting against breast cancer.

Survivors and co-survivors gather at the event to celebrate and support one another in an atmosphere filled with camaraderie and hope. It is their inspiring spirit that encourages others to continue the fight to end breast cancer forever and their fundraising efforts that encourage other participants to do more than just wear a pink ribbon.

The event makes an impact with 100 percent of the net proceeds allocated to the mission. Seventy-five percent of the net income stays in the community to help fund local programs offering breast health education and breast cancer screenings and treatments. The remaining 25 percent goes toward Susan G. Komen Research and Training Grants program.
