Owasso Police Have 1 In Custody After Chase Ends

Owasso police have a driver in custody after a chase that ended near 106th Street North and Highway 75.

Police say Brandon Cornelius Oliver sped away around 6:15 Monday morning after they tried to stop him for a minor traffic violation near East 86th Street North and Mingo.

Oliver went westbound on 86th Street North onto Highway 75 where he got up to 90 mph, Deputy Chief of Police Jason B. Woodruff said. Officers used stop sticks to disable Oliver's blue Jeep and arrested him.

Woodruff said they found .9 grams of methamphetamine in his Jeep.

The 28-year-old Tulsa man was booked on complaints of driving with a suspended license, speeding, possession of a controlled substance and eluding police.
