The Thunder's Russell Westbrook is caught on camera losing his cool -- and threatening two fans-- during last night's game against the Utah Jazz.
Westbrook had no shortage of four letter words for two fans in the crowd. But he says a cell phone video only captures part of the story.
The cell phone video, posted to Twitter by Jazz Digital Sports reporter Eric Woodyard, has close to 2.5 million views.
After the game Westbrook talked with reporters about the exchange.
He didn't apologize, and he called for more protection for players.
Westbrook say what's more important than what you see in the video, is what you don't see or hear from the fan and the woman with him.
Westbrook claims the couple told him to "get on your knees like you are used to."
He called the comment racial and disrespectful.
"There needs to be some consequences for those type of people who come to the game just to say and do whatever they want to say; and I don't think it's fair not just to the players, not just to me. If I had to do it all over again, I would say the same exact thing," Westbrook says.
The fan told Utah's KSL-TV that he told Westbrook to sit down and ice he's knees because he's gonna need it.
He claims his wife didn't say anything, and called Westbrook classless for threatening a woman.
