Tulsa Police: Wanted Felon Caught With 3 Runaway Teens

A wanted man is in jail after officers say they caught him with three runaway teens at a Tulsa Walmart.

Tulsa Police say on Saturday night two parents in Rogers, Arkansas called them to say their 17-year-old daughter was on the run with a wanted felon. Officers say Asckom Sheppard and the teen were at the Admiral and Memorial Walmart because their car broke down.

When police arrived, they say Sheppard and three others tried to run while the 17-year-old and her puppy stayed behind.

A K-9 found them hiding under cars in a nearby driveway. Officers arrested Sheppard for his felony charges which include robbery. Police are holding three juveniles until their parents arrive from Arkansas to pick them up.

Officers say they released an 18-year-old woman who was with them and she took the puppy.
