Man With Gun Prompts School Lock Down In Hughes County

A man is in custody after the Hughes County Sheriff's said he was seen near Moss School with a handgun.

Deputies said the man was spotted by a construction crew near Moss School Road Wednesday afternoon, prompting a lock down. 

Deputies said there was never a direct threat to the school.

The lock down has since been lifted.
