Rogers Co. Highway Crash Injures Pregnant Woman, 3 Others

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says four people, including a woman who is 6 months pregnant, are injured in a two vehicle crash Wednesday evening on Highway 66 in Rogers County.
 
Troopers say the crash happened at 8:45 p.m. about a mile south of Foyil.

The OHP report states a 2009 GMC 2500 pickup driven by 76-year-old James Robbins of Claremore pulled out of a driveway into the path of a northbound 1996 Mitsubishi Galant.  

Troopers say Robbins was not injured, but a passenger in his truck, 68-year-old Colin Quisley, also of Claremore was taken to a Claremore hospital, where he was treated and released.

The driver of the Mitsubishi, 30-year-old Shasta Cortez, of Claremore, who is pregnant, was flown by medical helicopter to a Tulsa hospital.  The OHP says she was admitted in critical condition. 

Two passengers in her car, a four-year-old and a 10-year-old were also taken to a Tulsa hospital.  The two were treated and released.

The OHP report states the cause of the crash was a failure to yield.
