Sapulpa Police are looking for a man on the run after they say he stabbed his wife several times with a large kitchen knife.
Police said they consider Randy Enlow dangerous and want him off the streets.
"She had multiple stab wounds to the back of her forearms on both arms," said Lieutenant Terry Wiggs with the Sapulpa Police Department.
Wiggs said the two were arguing when the verbal fight turned physical.
"She claims he assaulted her with a piece of furniture, struck her in the head," Wiggs said. "He produced a large kitchen knife and told her she wasn't leaving."
Wiggs said they believe alcohol was involved, which isn't uncommon in domestic violence situations.
"Who knows if he was literally just trying to cut her or stab her in the arms, or if he was trying to kill her," said Wiggs.
Enlow was charged with DUI multiple times dating back to the 1980s. The Department of Corrections website lists nine DUI convictions and two aggravated assault and batteries.
Wiggs said the wife doesn't want him charged in this case, but the district attorney might do it anyway.
"Typically, that's for the victim who can't really stand up for themselves," he said.
Fortunately, in this case, Wiggs said the wife was treated on scene and was able to walk away, but Wiggs said it's important they find Enlow and get him off the streets.
"I consider him very dangerous. Now, he could be desperate, knowing that this has happened and law enforcement is looking for him," Wiggs said.
If you have any idea where Enlow might be, you're asked to call 911.
