Tulsa Man Pleads Guilty To Sexual Exploitation Of A Child

A Tulsa man accused of child sex crimes has pleaded guilty in federal court.

Court records show that James Barnes was charged with sexual exploitation of a child and possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute.

Barnes was arrested in June of 2018 after a girl reported that he had paid her to send him nude pictures.

Barnes entered a guilty plea to the sexual exploitation charge, records show.  Under the plea agreement, if the court accepts the plea, Barnes will be sentenced for the sexual exploitation charge and prosecutors will move to dismiss the other charges.
