A church near 5th and Sheridan is cleaning up after police say someone crashed into a building.

Firefighters say a woman crashed her vehicle into the House of Opportunity just after 10:00 Friday morning.

Firefighters say the elderly woman hit the gas instead of the breaks, sending her SUV into the wall. The driver told firefighters she was distracted leading up to the crash.

No one was inside the church at the time.

Firefighters said they've seen more of these sort of accidents lately.

"This is actually, I think, the third one that I've been on in probably two months just in this area, but it happens in the City of Tulsa quite often," said TFD Fire Equipment Operator Craig Deerinwater.

Firefighters say the building still appears to be structurally sound.
