The estate of a Tulsa woman who committed suicide in prison is suing the Oklahoma Department of Corrections.
The lawsuit alleges that corrections officials knew Amber Hilberling was suicidal but failed to take adequate steps to keep her safe.

Hilberling, who was sentenced in 2013 to 25 years in prison for pushing her husband to his death from their apartment at the University Club Tower in 2011, was ruled by the Medical Examiner to have committed suicide by hanging in October 2016.

The Oklahoma Department of Corrections has filed a motion asking the court to dismiss the case.
