Tulsa Police stop an armed robbery suspect who was driving a stolen truck Wednesday.
The robbery at the Fast Stop near Pine and Yale was unusual because the robber had pruning shears to threaten the clerk.
He took about $100 and some cigarettes and the owners truck.
Officers spotted the truck Wednesday afternoon and tried to pull it over. The driver didn't stop.
He jumped out near Pine and Yale and that's where a police dog got him by the ankle.
The suspect was taken to jail and a police officer's car was damaged when he had to block the rolling truck with his car.
The robbery victim, Calvin Czeschin, said the same man robbed him last week and tried to lock him out of the store Wednesday morning but he rushed in with the clippers.
"I can't do anything anyway. I couldn't have fought him, so I let him go,” said Czeschin
“These people are desperate sometimes and don't think. I guess he abandoned the truck with it still moving,” said Sergeant Travis Jones with the Tulsa County Sheriff’s Office.”
The Sheriff's office sent a deputy to the hospital to question the suspect.
The victim was able to drive his damaged truck away.
