Last February a jury convicted Majors, 63, of murdering Khalid Jabara and a judge then sentenced him to life in prison.
Prosecutors said Majors threatened the Jabara family for years because of their Lebanese ethnicity and that Majors was jealous of Jabara, who was close friends with Majors' late husband.
Right after his sentencing, the Jabara family said in a statement read in court that Majors deserves exactly what the jury recommended.
The Oklahoma Medical Examiner's Office said they will be determining the cause of death.
The Jabara family released a statement saying:
"We have been informed of his [Stanley Majors] death & are working through the emotions that come with that. The news of his death came on the third anniversary of the date he ran over our mother & one month after the second anniversary of Khalid’s death. We continue to work to honor Khalid’s memory, advocating for bail reform, victims’ rights, & combating hate. This news does nothing to change that focus."
