Bartlesville Police arrested three people in connection with a deadly hit-and-run case.

Cleo “Cotton Bowl” Lewis was riding his motorcycle on August, 18, 2018 when a car ran a stop sign and hit him, police said. He died later at the hospital.

Police arrested 32-year-old Ashlee Nicole Johnson of Bartlesville after she turned herself in on Tuesday afternoon. She's charged with leaving the scene of a fatality accident, driving with a suspended license and failure to maintain insurance.

Johnson confessed to driving the car that hit Lewis.

Police say they arrested two men on a complaint of being accessories after the fact. They say Keith Dwayne Johnson, 40, and 32-year-old Timothy Charles Hagan moved the car involved in the accident out of Bartlesville, even though they knew police were looking for it.

They talked about burning the car or ditching it in a lake or pond, police say.

According to police, the men led detectives to a rural location east of Copan where the car had been hidden behind a trailer house.

The department says the break in the case came when detectives located video which showed the car involved in the accident was a Mercury Sable not a Ford Taurus.

Police had arrested another woman in the case but once they learned the car involved was a Sable and not a Taurus they released her and prosecutors dropped the charges against her.
