A Taste Of Fall Weather As Sunday Sunshine Returns

Cloudy and damp conditions have bogged Green Country down for several days, but sunshine will be making a return for what should be a gorgeous Sunday!

Low clouds and a few brief patches of drizzle this morning will be steadily replaced by increasing sunshine today, as clouds will steadily clear from north-to-south during the middle of the day. By afternoon we should return to partly to mostly sunny skies across most of northeastern Oklahoma!

So how about those Sunday temperatures? Well, they look absolutely TERRIFIC. We’ll be running well below normal with highs in the mid-70s this afternoon and a very pleasant north breeze. Drier air moving in will also put our humidity at a much more comfortable level as well. If you didn’t already have some outdoor plans, make some!

A crisp start to the work week is on the way as that drier air will allow lows to sink into the upper 50s in some spots heading into early Monday morning! Some areas of dense fog may also develop to start off Monday. We should see plenty of sun on Monday, and once again it will be extremely pleasant with afternoon highs around 80 degrees.

We’ll keep this stretch run of extremely pleasant weather going into the middle of the week! Expect comfortably cool nights and warm afternoons through Tuesday and Wednesday with lows around 60 and highs in the mid-80s, along with continued lower humidity. Talk about six-star weather!

The weather pattern will slowly shift back towards more of a late summer feel by late in the week. Increasing south winds will increase the humidity by Thursday and Friday, with highs climbing back towards the upper 80s. A few scattered showers may also return by the end of the week as that moisture returns. But before we get there, be sure to enjoy these next several days of beautiful weather!
