A Tulsa church wants answers after someone stole thousands of dollars worth of items from a van they use to deliver meals to the homeless.

“I was inside for about five minutes,” said Pastor Grace Edobor from Faith Mission International.  “By the time I came out, everything was all gone.”

Pastor Edobor says she had just returned from Bible study on Sunday when someone stole almost everything out of the church van.

“I feel like, you know, that I’ve basically been stripped of everything, but not everything because I got Jesus in me,” said Edobor.

She says among the items stolen were important church documents, materials needed to help the homeless, and credit cards.

Edobor says she called police, but it wasn’t long before someone tried to charge nearly $250 on the stolen credit cards.

“I saw a flash on my phone that says that one of the credit cards was being used at GameStop,” she said.

For years, members of the church have worked to give back to the community.

“It took 20 years to build up, so you can imagine having to replace all of that again,” said church member Terri Monday.

Edobor and members of the church says they hope whoever is responsible will get the help they need.

“I just pray that those individuals will really return this stuff so we can continue to reach out to people who hurt,” said Edobor.

If you have any information about this crime, you’re asked to call the Tulsa Police Department.
