Tulsa police responding to a reported burglary end up arresting a man on drugs and firearms complaints.

When officers arrived at the residence near 21st Street South and Highway 169 early Saturday morning, they say they detained a suspect, identified as Jacob Rowell.

Officers say when they asked Rowell for his ID, he told them it was in his car and he gave permission for an officer to enter the car to get his ID.

When officers picked up Rowell’s wallet from the center console, they say there was a small bag containing a couple of blue pills directly beneath it.

When asked, Rowell reportedly told officers the pills were “Oxy,” police say.  They say the pills were subsequently identified as oxycodone hydrochloride through a search on drugs.com.

Officers say they also noticed the smell of marijuana in Rowell’s vehicle.

They say the vehicle was searched and a large bag containing marijuana, two bags containing a white powdery substance, and seven bags containing white pills stamped “Xanax 2” were found, along with cash, a loaded firearm, and a digital scale.

According to officers, Rowell admitted that he sells the pills stamped “Xanax 2” and that there were about 1,000 Xanax bars in each of the seven bags.

Officers also say the firearm found in the vehicle was discovered to be stolen and the cash totaled more than $1,000, most of which was in $20 bills.
