Woman Killed In Broken Arrow Crash, Police Say

Police say an unidentified woman died after her car slammed into a utility pole at a Broken Arrow intersection Wednesday.

The 5:50 p.m. crash happened at West Houston and South Hickory.

Police stated a preliminary investigation determined the 45-year-old driver was speeding as she headed west on Houston.  They say the woman lost control of her car, overcorrected and hit the power pole.

A second vehicle heading east at the time was also struck, but only sustained minor damage. No one in that vehicle was injured.

Police closed the intersection because of the crash and damaged pole.  It was reopened early Thursday after crews replaced the pole.
