Police have yet to determine if two people shot at two different locations in east Tulsa Wednesday evening are related or not.

Officers say the first call, at about 8:15 p.m., came from someone at the Polo Club Apartments in the 12800 block of East 40th Street.

Police say the caller heard several shots, went outside and found a man lying on a sidewalk suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.   Officers say the victim had been shot in the face and torso. He was taken to the hospital by EMSA.  Police say his wounds are believed to be non-life threatening.

While police were at the complex, officers got a call about a second shooting victim about a mile east in the 3500 block of South 148th East Avenue.

Officers arrived and found a man at a home with a gunshot wound to his leg.

"It got dispatched as a second shooting but when the officers started talking to each other information led us to believe that maybe they are linked. Maybe they are not. We’re still trying to figure that out." said Tulsa Police Sgt. Andrew MacKenzie.

The second victim was also taken to the hospital and is expected to be OK.

Investigators are now working to determine what happened and if the two shootings are indeed related.
