A Jenks home was damaged by fire Friday morning.
The Tulsa Fire Department was called to help Jenks firefighters battle the fire which scorched the home's living room and kitchen.
Jenks Fire Chief Greg Ostrum said crews responded to the home around 5:45 a.m. Firefighters searched the home and found no one inside.
The couple who lives in the home said they just got to work when someone called them about the fire. They said their daughter and granddaughter had been staying with them, but that they were at a friend's house.
The couple said they closed their bedroom door before they left the home and said that saved some very precious family memories.
Ostrum said it took about 25 minutes to knock down the fire.
"A little bit warm today, but thankfully, we had Tulsa come in for some mutual aid. They brought in a company over, so we appreciate that, just to help our guys with any manpower issues," he said.
Jenks fire officials said the cause of the fire is under investigation but they believe an electrical problem in the living room area sparked the fire.
