Semi Loaded With Eggs Overturns In Sapulpa Crash

Sapulpa Police said a three-vehicle crash on New Sapulpa Road Tuesday morning sent three people to the hospital and caused a semi loaded with eggs to roll onto its side.

Police Lt. Troy Foreman said the semi, which was headed south, struck the rear of a KIA which was turning left into a business just north of West 81st Street South. He says that impact pushed the KIA into a northbound Honda CRV.

Lt. Foreman says the semi then ran off the left side of the road and rolled onto its side.

There were five people in the vehicles, and three of them were injured in the crash, police said. The driver of the Honda CRV suffered a broken leg.

One of the injured people was a man sleeping in the back of the semi, authorities said.

The semi came to rest on next to power pole and places nearby lost power. OG&E crews were called to make sure the pole wasn't damaged.

What caused the initial crash is still under investigation.
