Tulsa Water Line Break Closes Pine Street

The Tulsa water department is working to repair a line break early Thursday which has led to the closure of several blocks of Pine.

Part of Pine is shut down near Utica after an overnight water main break.

Crews have been working for nearly 12 hours trying to get it repaired.

The street is closed between Trenton and Utica, which is a major thoroughfare since it’s just a few hundred feet from Highway 75.

Crews said a 16-inch line snapped overnight, and, eventually, the road buckled near Pine and Troost.

They've been out there since 1:00 Thursday morning and plan to be there most of the day.

After that, the streets department will get the road fixed.

A crew member said it's been a busy 24 hours for the City as they work multiple breaks, including one near 11th Street and Highway 169.
