Tulsa Police say an off-duty Tulsa Public Schools police officer had to call for help after a man broke the windshield of the officer's patrol car.

Tulsa Police say the officer was inside the Army Surplus store near 41st and Memorial when another customer began creating a disturbance.

The officer followed the customer into the parking lot to find out what was going on when the man started swinging at him, police said.

Tulsa Police say the man punched the officer, then used something to smash the windshield of the officer's car. The officer activated the emergency button on his radio which alerted TPD officers who then went to the scene.

Police identify the suspect at Aaron Jenkins, 34. They arrested him on one count of assaulting a police officer and one count of malicious injury to property.
