Tulsa-area law enforcement will ramp-up patrols Memorial Day weekend to keep you and your family safe.
This is all part of the ENDUI and Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over Campaign.
Tulsa Police will team up with the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, the Tulsa County Sheriff's Office and the ABLE Commission for sobriety checkpoints.
TPD said officers will check drivers in the area of South Sheridan and East 41st Street.
The checkpoints are an effort keep drunk or intoxicated drivers off the roads.
TPD said checkpoints help reduce the number of injuries and deaths on the roads but also help raise awareness of the dangers of driving while impaired by alcohol or drugs.
A first DUI conviction could put you in jail for up to a year and cost you more than $1,000.
