Collinsville Man Dies After Motorcycle Hits Dog On Mayes County Highway

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says a Collinsville man died after his motorcycle struck a dog on Highway 82 northeast of Salina in Mayes County Monday evening.

Troopers say 77-year-old Frederick Tobin was traveling west on his 2015 Suzuki motorcycle when he struck the animal at 5:30 p.m.  The OHP says Tobin was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.

The OHP report states Tobin was taken to a Pryor hospital where he later died.
