Three Tulsa pop culture organizations are joining forces to produce a new pop culture expo in Tulsa.
Tulsa Pop Kids, XPO Game Festival, and OKPOP made the big announcement at Woodland Hills Mall today.
The reveal featured an interactive virtual reality exhibit, Xbox gaming, and cosplayers. Event Manager for the XPO Game Festival Matt Stockman says the partnership came about from the goal of producing a successful event that highlighted pop culture for northeast Oklahoma.
"We are a pop culture industry hub for Oklahoma. And so this is our way of showcasing that, and really embracing that industry." Stockman said.
Organizers say the decision comes ahead of the Tulsa Pop Culture Expo scheduled for November 2-4. According to Stockman, each organization is providing a different segment of entertainment throughout the 3-day event.
Activities for the Tulsa Pop Culture Expo will include celebrity guests and panels, a kids area, eSports tournaments, and an area dedicated to Oklahoma in pop culture.
Tickets for that are on sale online now.
