The Rogers County district attorney's office is responding to a social media post from the parent of a Bixby high school football player accused of sexually assaulting a teammate.
The father of Samuel Lakin posted emails on Facebook and says the DA's office is lying about what happened.

The investigator learned that a parent of a football player tried to buy a cell phone that had a video of the incident. On Facebook, Lakin posted that while that's true he believes the DA's office was implying that a parent was trying to hide evidence, but he says these emails prove that that's not the case.
In the emails, the parent says they just wanted to clear their son's name. Lakin says there was never an attempt to destroy evidence, only preserve it.
A preliminary hearing was scheduled for this past Tuesday, but it's now scheduled for May 22nd.
