Tulsa MDA Chapter Holds Annual ALS Fundraiser

News On 6 partnered with the Muscular Dystrophy Association Thursday night its annual ALS fundraiser. 

"Step Up to the Plate, Fight ALS" included dinner, special guests and silent auction items.

"We did a step up to the plat theme in honor of Lou Gehrig who was a baseball player and who passed away from ALS. So a lot of our is gourmet ballpark food, food tents, they serve it, it's local restaurants from the Tulsa community," said Georgia Canady, MDA Fundraiser Coordinator.

Dilly Diner, PJ's Pub and Grill, Nothing Bundt Cakes, the Chalkboard, Elgin Park and Andolinis all participated in the event. 

News On 6's Julia Benbrook served as one of the judges for the food contest. 

All of the proceeds benefit ALS research and services in Oklahoma.
