A jury is now in place to hear the murder trial of Michael Bever.

Bever is charged with five counts of murder for stabbing to death his parents and three siblings, plus nearly killing a teenage sister.

The attorneys settled on the 12 people to hear the case, plus two alternates. It took four days to pick the jury because this is a tough case.

Some of the jurors expressed concern that they'd have to look at pictures of dead children from the crime scene. Attorneys told them that will likely be a part of this case, but, they said they needed jurors who could do what needed to be done, no matter how hard it is, in order to get justice.

They said Michael Bever deserves justice since his freedom is on the line and they said the victims need justice as well.

Bever's public defenders asked a lot of questions about homeschooling, bullying and whether teenagers have the same brain capacity as adults.

Prosecutors asked questions about holding people accountable for their actions, regardless of how they grew up or went to school.

They said whether jurors agree teenagers should be tried as adults in cases like this, that is the law in Oklahoma.

The next step in the trial is opening statements by the attorneys, then prosecutors will begin presenting evidence and calling witnesses.

Jurors will likely have to hear the 911 call made by 12-year-old Daniel Bever before he died. Police said he was a hero for making the call because it led to quick arrests.
