Rogers County Deputies are investigating another school threat, the second one this week.
This time it happened at Foyil High School.
They arrested a 14-year-old girl Thursday who is suspected of threatening to set off a bomb and shoot-up the school.
Sheriff Scott Walton said the teen wrote down the threat on a piece of paper, crumpled it up, and threw it away then went back for it and turned it in herself to school officials.
"The note had a plan A and a plan B, no real specifics of what would happen but it did clearly spell out that one was a plan of placing a bomb in the school building in one location and detonating that bomb and the other was shooting everybody," said Rogers County Sheriff Scott Walton.
The girl handed in the note Wednesday around lunchtime, prompting a swift response from every sheriff's deputy on patrol with the Rogers County Sheriff's Office.
"Those nine officers stayed there all afternoon until the building was secure. We were able to do this without a complete evacuation of the building," said Walton.
The sheriff credits other students for coming forward overnight giving them information that led to the young lady suspected of making the threats.
"We had several students come forward with facts that they knew who produced these writings. There were more kids involved in this at the first of the idea but I think they wised up to the fact that maybe this isn't a great idea but the whole plan all along was to get out of school," said Walton.
That teen is out of school now, booked into a juvenile justice center charged with a terroristic hoax.
"You hope that you know somebody will look at this as an adult and say, "I made a really poor decision one day when I was 14 years old and learns from that and goes on," Walton said.
Foyil Superintendent Rob Carter wants to thank the Roger County Sheriff’s Office for their quick response and for dealing with this situation without disrupting much of the school day.
