Police say two people are in custody following a chase early Wednesday from Broken Arrow into Tulsa. Officers say the pursuit stemmed from an overnight auto burglary investigation in Broken Arrow's Battle Creek area near 51st and Elm.

The chase started near 71st and 193rd East Avenue and ended when the car crashed just before 5:20 a.m. near the intersection of Admiral and Harvard.

Broken Police say an officer spotted a suspicious car traveling at a high rate of speed and stopped it. As the officer approached the car, the driver took off, winding its way across Broken Arrow into Tulsa where it ended a short time later.

The driver got out and ran off but was found hiding in a yard nearby. A passenger in the car was also arrested.

Inside the car, police found two guns, one of which was reported stolen. They also found body armor, laptops and other electronic equipment which were believed to be stolen.

Police told News On 6 cars were burglarized and doors to garages were probably checked. They aren't yet sure if the suspects got into any houses.
